(ri)1 (pronounced rye one) is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey produced by Beam Global Spirits. This rye whiskey is quite a bit different from the traditional rye in that it is lighter and sweeter but retains that spicy snap. Despite its confusing name (ri)1 is a good whiskey and a nice addition to Beam's portfolio. Tasting Notes: (ri)1 has a very sweet, citrus aroma with grainy background. Has an extremely smooth entry that leads to a dry, sunny sweet and sour palate with spicy notes and a very light rye. The finish is long and continuously sweet with very light spice throughout.

At 6 years old, AAA 10 Star has a gentle spice and licorice attack on the finish that backs down to intense cream toffee. It is a flavor to be savored by all bourbon enthusiasts.

The more experimentation the better, we reckon, especially when it turns out something like this - marrying the sweet caramel and grain of bourbon with the rich sticky wine flavours of a port cask.

Hand bottled after 7 years of aging. It is deeply mellow, and richly flavorful, with a medium bodied taste. Smooth flavors of vanilla and caramel.
