Tasting Notes - Beautiful deep red color with perfumed aromas of ripe black cherries, strawberries and roasted cocoa beans. This wine is full-bodied and incredibly lush for a young Cabernet. It explodes on the palate with red and black fruits, then shows baking spices on its way to a mouthwatering finish. Pedro blended in some Merlot for greater complexity and to achieve better balance. Pairs well with a wide range of foods including beef, sausages, spiced or grilled pork, veal, rabbit, medium-strong cheeses, and meat-based pasta sauces.

Los Cardos is a Spanish word for the thistles, flowers known in Argentina for their intense and surprisingly vivid color as well their sharp thorns. In Mendoza their presence is an unmistakable signal of good terroir. Los Cardos wines are as beautiful as the thistle, but unlike this prickly flower, the wine is incredibly approachable. The sustainably managed vineyards grow in a challenging climate with a breathtaking landscape located at more than 3,300 ft. above sea level where they enjoy the constant breeze from the Andes Mountains.
