Arbor Crest’s Syrah is an exciting wine that is full-bodied as well as rich and velvety. The grapes from both vineyards were hand-picked and hand-sorted with yields kept low, to produce a wine with concentrated black cherry and blueberry nuances. The combination of these two vineyards produces a complex and enticing blend. Balanced by a fine acidity and tannin structure, the toasty spices from new French oak add hints of nutmeg, clove and licorice.

Maintained through an organic growing process, our Syrah vineyards are entering their prime, reflected in the wine’s brilliant color and intense aromas. Bonterra Syrah blends a touch of Rhone varietals like Grenache, Mouvedre and Viognier for a powerful floral note. Concentrated berry flavors come to the fore with notes of vanilla and toasty oak spice from aging in French oak.

Our 2007 Barrel Select Petite Sirah is deep plum colored with exotic aromas of clove, espresso, violets, cola and blackberry compote. On the palate big flavors of strawberries, wild plums, cinnamon, blackberry, blueberry and hints of coffee and spice lead to a broad mouthfeel with smooth, yet firm tannins. This wine is loaded with big fruit and spice flavors, has fine texture, great structure and a strong backbone making it a great candidate for ageing.
