Soft, supple pepper and licorice-clove notes merge into a sinful marriage of deep, brambly blackberries and lustful cherries. The finish is clean on the palate with hints of rich vanilla, cocoa, and mild tannins.

This approachable, fruit-forward Zinfandel is a sure crowd-pleaser. Having just a touch of Petite Sirah (5%) give this Zin a little more structure. The wine was aged in a 50% split of French and American Oak for a year, with about 30% of that new. This allows the Zin to practically burst with aromas of ripe black cherry, a little blueberry and brown sugar. Rich berry and soft chocolate linger long on the palate, mingling with soft tannins and spice. This well-structured Zinfandel is perfectly balanced between tannins and acid making it an excellent companion to a range of foods. It can easily handle a good bit of spice on your favorite barbecue and is perfect with spicy, tomato-based dishes.

Bright and alive, the scintillating '09 Cline Ancient Vine Zinfandel simply sails onto the palate; flavors of red currants and cranberries accent it all the way to the end.

Higher toned aromas of plums, cinnamon and clove, this is a pronounced Zinfandel from century old, dry farmed vines. Between the San Joachim River and a eucalyptus grove, the Big Break block of vines tend to yield this aromatic sort of Zinfandel whose slight mint character is said to have come from the neighboring eucalyptus. After 14 months in French oak, this is all the suppler. Wonderfully balanced for any number of food pairing opportunities, this Zin was just as enjoyable on its own.

Cline Bridgehead Zinfandel has expansive aromas start with plenty of concentrated fruit; full in body and viscous in texture; not for the faint of heart.

The Cline California Zinfandel is a fun, fruit-forward red; easy in all respects; shows tart, red berry flavors.
